Because I have epilepsy and lose consciousness during my seizures.
One day I was walking down Bentley Avenue in Glenfield, on my way to work. I had an epileptic seizure and tried to get into a ladies house using my own keys. The police tried to arrest me, but I still wasn't aware. Apparently I was fighting the police. A lady who knew me, saw the commotion and told the police that I have a medical condition. I wasn't wearing my Medic Alert bracelet on this occassion. The bracelet would have made people aware of my condition. So it is important to wear your MedicAlert bracelet 24/7.
